One week down!!!

Okay so I have really struggled with the program for the last month. Being back at school and being around terrible food and alcohol so much has gotten the best of me and while I haven't gained any more weight back, I'm still at about 168 (so approximately 3 pounds above my low when I got back from Florida). So this is kind of disappointing to me but I sort of knew it would happen because I would fall back into back habits here. Staying up late and being bored sometimes are both huge triggers for me to eat and drink and that is what has happened.

The good news is that Martee and I have finally got on track with working out again!! I just got back from doing cardio with her and it was our successful completion of Week 1 on the program (at least with exercising). So that was awesome. We worked really hard and we did three days of cardio, one upper body workout and two lower body workouts. I'm really proud of us and I think we're really setting ourselves up for success this week.

That being said, I really need to stay on track now for the eating part. I have a beautiful dress to look beautiful in by Lori's wedding and my ultimate goal for July 4, 2008 is to be at 155 (or down to a 36 hips). I think I can do it. Really, even if I don't make it to either of those goals but I really try to eat right and exercise, I'll be happy.

So, small steps for now. Today, I have a "Cuatro de Mayo" party so I'm going to eat a satisfying lunch before I go so I won't be hungry and then I'm going to limit myself to one drink per two hours I am there. I can't really get drunk today anyway because I have a test at one tomorrow and I really need to do well on it.

Goals for this week are:
- Get back on track with the food portion of the program
- Only drink tomorrow night
- Help M with this week!

I'm excited to be doing well with my exercising and I'm officially, right now, going to be over eating like crap the last month!!!!

To a good week!!!!

Okay, HERE we go!

Alright so I got sick last week and took almost the whole week to fully recuperate. Now I am finally feeling 100% okay and I'm ready to start my program.

Yesterday, I went in the morning to work out. I weighed in at 168 so I am still only 3 pounds up from when I got back from Disney but I am still almost 30 pounds till my goal. I can do it, it's only 10 pounds more than I've already lost (well you know, I've lost 20, 30 more to go). So, today I'm going to do cardio since yesterday I did upper body (and my chest muscles are SCREAMING today). I think I'm going to go to Kick and Core, the kickboxing class at CRCE. I am also going to keep much better tabs on my eating today, mostly just making sure I'm waiting in between meals long enough.

Yesterday was good though. I snacked a lot because I was home most of the day but I didn't eat anything that was TOO bad for me. I just need to watch it.

Goals for this week are:

-Stick to the food portion
-Try Kick and Core and maybe another cardio class
-Stick to one beer on Wednesday night
-Get remotivated to get rid of these next 30 pounds!!

I can do it, I know I can. I just lost my momentum. Here we go!!!!!!!

Andddd now for another 12 week challenge!

So I'm going to start another 12 week challenge this Monday. I'm going to do it right too, just like last time and I'm going to finish out the entire program. It will take me to the middle of June so assuming I do everything like last time . . . I should lose at least 10 pounds of fat and inches off my waist and hips (which is really where I'd like to in time for Lori's wedding!). I've already ordered my dress for it, but I guess I'll just take it in if I need to. :-)

Biggest challenges to the program are going to be:
-Finding time to exercise on certain days because of class/activities
-Not drinking! It's such a big part of college life.
-The food at school is too tempting sometimes . . . I'll have to be really careful.

First week goals include:
-Finding the time for workouts and meals when I need to.
-Cutting out all junk food.
-Drinking enough water again.

Long term goals include:
-(At least) 10 more pounds by Lori's wedding
-Be able to run for 5 minutes consecutively
-Wear a bikini this summer ;-)
